The Muppet Show
ComedyFamily26 min per episode
Kermit the Frog tries to keep a weekly variety show from falling apart as the Muppets miss cues, feud backstage, and turn every sketch and musical number into a small crisis. Jim Henson and Frank Oz lead the core troupe, while a different celebrity guest drops into the theater each episode, including names like Steve Martin, Julie Andrews, Elton John, and Mark Hamill. The show moves between onstage acts, recurring comedy bits, and behind-the-curtain scrambles, with Kermit stuck in the middle as he tries to get the production in front of an audience at all.
