Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

ActionAdventureAnimationAnimeDramaSci-Fi101 min

Fifteen years after the cataclysmic Second Impact, Tokyo-3 is under attack by giant beings called Angels, and Shinji Ikari is pulled into humanity’s defense as the pilot of Evangelion Unit-01. Megumi Ogata voices Shinji, a boy drafted by the secretive agency Nerv into battles far larger than he understands, while Rei Ayanami (Megumi Hayashibara) is the other young Eva pilot already inside its machinery of orders, alarms, and sacrifice. Reworking the opening arc of Neon Genesis Evangelion, the film pairs city-level destruction and mecha combat with a colder, more anxious vision of a world rebuilt around emergency.
