The Man in My Basement
HorrorMysteryThriller115 min
Facing foreclosure on his ancestral home in Sag Harbor, Charles Blakey agrees to a stranger’s lucrative proposal: rent out his basement for the summer and clear his debts. Corey Hawkins is Charles, out of work and cornered when Anniston Bennet (Willem Dafoe) arrives with money, secrecy, and unsettling terms. What starts as a desperate financial arrangement tightens into a psychological standoff inside the house, pulling Charles toward buried family history and a puzzle bound up with race, identity, and the damage both men carry.
