After a life-altering incident, small-town guy John Nolan moves to Los Angeles to join the LAPD, beginning again as the department’s oldest rookie. Nathan Fillion is Nolan, a new officer whose age and unconventional path make him a target of skepticism from supervisors and fellow cops alike. As patrol work drops him into emergencies, arrests, and the everyday pressure of the job, he has to learn police work from the bottom while proving he belongs in uniform. Alyssa Diaz and Melissa O’Neil are among the officers around him as the series tracks Nolan’s late-in-life reset inside a busy city precinct.
