The Incredibles
ActionAdventureAnimationFamily115 min
Craig T. Nelson is Bob Parr, once the superhero Mr. Incredible, now stuck behind a desk as an insurance adjuster while trying to live quietly in a retro-futuristic 1960s suburb. At home, Holly Hunter’s Helen — formerly Elastigirl — is holding together a household where every family member has powers they’re supposed to keep hidden. When Bob receives a secret assignment on a remote island, his chance to return to hero work pulls the Parrs back toward the life they left behind. Brad Bird’s film mixes domestic comedy, spy-movie machinery, and comic-book action around a family balancing school, work, marriage, and superhuman problems.
