Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead

ComedyFamily105 min

With their mother away for the summer, teenager Sue Ellen Crandell expects freedom, not a house full of siblings and no adult in charge. Christina Applegate is Sue Ellen, forced to keep the family afloat after the babysitter dies and the cash runs out. Her solution is a bold one: fake her age and experience, land a job in the fashion world, and try to pass as a capable grown-up by day while managing total disorder at home. Joanna Cassidy appears in the office world Sue Ellen is desperate to master, as the film turns one suburban summer into a scramble of work, bills, and cover stories.
