Heartbreaker

ComedyRomance105 min

Alex makes a living ending relationships: he and his sister run a discreet business that nudges couples apart for a fee. Romain Duris is the smooth operator at the center of the scheme, until a wealthy father hires him to stop his daughter’s wedding in just one week. The problem is that the bride-to-be, Juliette, seems perfectly happy. Vanessa Paradis gives Juliette an easy confidence as Alex scrambles to get close to her without exposing the con. Moving between Paris and Monte Carlo, the film builds its setup around staged encounters, elaborate lies, and a deadline that keeps tightening.
