Nickel Boys
Drama140 min
After an innocent mistake derails his plans for college, Elwood Curtis is sent to Nickel Academy, a brutal reform school in 1960s Florida. Ethan Herisse's Elwood arrives with the ideals of the Civil Rights era still intact; inside Nickel, he meets Turner, a fellow student embodied by Brandon Wilson, who has learned the rules of survival. Their friendship takes shape under the daily pressures of a segregated institution built on fear, punishment, and silence, as Elwood tries to hold on to the life he imagined beyond its gates.
