Little Monsters
ComedyHorrorSci-Fi94 min
A washed-up musician joins his nephew's kindergarten field trip to impress a teacher, then ends up helping protect the class when zombies break out. Alexander England is Dave, an aimless would-be rocker whose flirtation with Lupita Nyong'o's Miss Caroline turns into a scramble to keep a roomful of kids calm as chaos spreads outside. Also in the mix is Josh Gad's Teddy McGiggle, a smug children's TV celebrity whose chirpy stage persona makes him an uneasy partner once the outbreak hits. The film balances splattery zombie mayhem with the strange, controlled chaos of adults trying not to terrify children.
