After watching his father framed and lynched by a mob, young Vijay Deenanath Chauhan leaves Mandwa with his mother and grows up in Mumbai with revenge fixed on the gangster who destroyed his family. Hrithik Roshan is Vijay, returning as an adult with one foot in the underworld and one eye on Kancha Cheena, the feared figure embodied by Sanjay Dutt. Priyanka Chopra Jonas's Kaali enters the story as Vijay's connection to a life beyond vendetta, while the film moves between village trauma, criminal ambition, and the pull of settling an old score.
