Breakthrough
Drama116 min
After a teenage boy falls through the ice and is pulled from the water with little hope of recovery, his family is thrown into a medical crisis that stretches from the emergency room to the church pews. His mother refuses to accept the prognosis and gathers everyone she can around him in prayer, while doctors and loved ones struggle with what medicine can and cannot change. As the days pass, the ordeal strains faith, marriage, and the people trying to help. Chrissy Metz and Josh Lucas anchor a story built around one family facing a disaster that seems final and waiting to see whether anything can break it.
