The Rescue

ActionAdventureDocumentaryDramaFamilyMysteryThriller114 min

In 2018, after 12 boys and their soccer coach are trapped deep inside a flooded cave in northern Thailand, an international rescue effort races against monsoon water and the cave’s tight, submerged passageways. The documentary follows the operation from the inside, with British cave divers Rick Stanton and John Volanthen among the central figures alongside Thai military leaders, local volunteers, and the families waiting above ground. As the mission grows more complex, the film stays close to the logistics, improvisation, and split-second decisions behind a rescue that drew the attention of the world.
