The Offer

CrimeDrama59 min per episode

Producer Al Ruddy is trying to get The Godfather made, and The Offer follows the off-camera scramble behind Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 landmark. Miles Teller is Ruddy, moving through studio politics and the pressures of turning Mario Puzo’s crime novel into a major film. Around him, Matthew Goode and Juno Temple fill out a world of executives, artists, and dealmakers as the production takes shape in early-1970s Hollywood. Rather than retelling the movie itself, the series stays with the negotiations, setbacks, and behind-the-scenes maneuvering that shaped one of cinema’s most famous gangster films.
