At Coconut Pete’s Coconut Beach Resort, a hedonistic island getaway for swingers turns into a murder scene when a serial killer starts cutting through the staff and guests. Bill Paxton’s Coconut Pete is a washed-up pop star still coasting on a novelty hit, trying to keep his paradise in business as the body count climbs. Around him, Kevin Heffernan and the rest of the resort crew scramble to stop the violence, conceal it, or simply make it through the night. Club Dread folds slasher-movie setups, broad ensemble comedy, and tropical-party excess into a mystery dotted with machetes, hookups, and increasingly bad decisions.
