The Dead Zone

DramaFantasyHorrorSci-FiThriller103 min

Schoolteacher Johnny Smith wakes from a five-year coma to find that a touch now gives him flashes of other people’s pasts and futures, turning an ordinary life into a series of alarming visions. Christopher Walken is Johnny, gaunt and unsettled as he tries to make sense of what he’s become, while Brooke Adams figures into the life he left behind. Directed by David Cronenberg, the film moves from hospital rooms and small-town routines to murder investigations and the rise of Martin Sheen’s smiling politician Greg Stillson, as Johnny starts to see where his ability might lead.
