After leaving her abusive, alcoholic husband, Elisabeth moves with her children into her brother Göran’s commune in 1975 Stockholm, where the household calls itself Together and tries to live by leftist ideals. Lisa Lindgren and Michael Nyqvist are part of the crowded ensemble around Elisabeth as she adjusts to a home built on shared politics, shared space, and very little privacy. What starts as refuge becomes a close-up of communal life, where arguments about socialism, feminism, sex, parenting, and loyalty keep colliding with jealousy, loneliness, and the ordinary mess of living together.
