ActionAdventureFantasy124 min

In 1920s Egypt, adventurer Rick O'Connell joins librarian Evelyn Carnahan on an expedition to Hamunaptra, a buried city tied to an ancient curse. Brendan Fraser is Rick, a former legionnaire drawn back into the desert by treasure hunters; Rachel Weisz's Evelyn brings the scholarship, the maps, and her brother Jonathan along for the ride. When their search uncovers the Book of the Dead, they awaken Imhotep, a high priest entombed for a forbidden love and now loose in Cairo with plagues, sandstorms, and a plan to return in full.
