The Handmaid's Tale

DramaSci-FiThriller50 min per episode

In a near-future America renamed Gilead, a fertile woman is torn from her family and forced into life as a Handmaid, valued only for her ability to bear children. Elisabeth Moss is Offred, moving through a rigid household and a state built on religious law, public punishment, and constant surveillance. Yvonne Strahovski and Ann Dowd stand on different rungs of that system, where women are assigned roles with brutal precision and even ordinary rituals become tools of control. Every greeting, ceremony, and item of clothing reinforces the rules Offred is expected to obey.
