The Outrun

Drama118 min

Fresh out of rehab, Saoirse Ronan’s Rona leaves London and returns to the Orkney Islands off the Scottish coast, where the place she grew up is both familiar and hard to face. At 29, after more than a decade of living on the edge and a relationship she found and lost in the city, she tries to make sense of the life she’s been running from. As Rona settles back into the island’s wind-battered shores and daily rhythms, memories of a traumatic childhood begin to merge with the more recent events that led her toward recovery.
