The Pink Panther

ComedyCrimeRomance115 min

Inspector Jacques Clouseau heads to the Tyrolean Alps convinced that the notorious jewel thief known as The Phantom will make a move on the priceless Pink Panther diamond. Peter Sellers’ Clouseau is supremely confident and disastrously accident-prone, turning a high-stakes manhunt into a parade of missed clues and elegant mishaps. Across the same snowy resorts and grand hotels, David Niven’s Phantom circles the gem with far more polish, while Princess Dala (Claudia Cardinale) arrives as the diamond’s glamorous owner. Blake Edwards builds the chase around false identities, marital blind spots, and slapstick collisions between sophistication and incompetence.
