Halt and Catch Fire

Drama44 min per episode

In the early 1980s, an engineer, a programmer, and a salesman collide in Texas as the personal computer business starts to crack open. They set out to build a machine that can challenge the giants already dominating the market, but turning a bold idea into hardware means reverse-engineering rivals, fighting for money, and surviving each other’s ambition. As the industry shifts, the series follows their partnerships, breakups, and reinventions through the rise of online culture and the first days of the web. Lee Pace and Scoot McNairy are folded into a story about competition, ego, and the cost of trying to get ahead before the future arrives.
