I Love Lucy

ComedyFamily26 min per episode

In New York City, housewife Lucy Ricardo keeps looking for a way out of ordinary domestic life and into her husband’s nightclub act. Every plan she hatches with neighbors Ethel and Fred Mertz starts small—sneaking backstage, chasing a part in the show, trying to prove she belongs in show business—and quickly turns into a mess she has to hide from Ricky. The comedy comes from Lucy’s stubborn confidence colliding with bad timing, flimsy disguises, and one lie too many. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz anchor a series built around Lucy’s escalating schemes, her marriage to bandleader Ricky Ricardo, and the chaos that follows whenever she decides she can help.
