Black Sabbath

Horror97 min

Three stories of supernatural horror unfold in Mario Bava’s anthology, beginning with Rosy, a woman in a city apartment besieged by threatening phone calls from someone tied to her past. Michele Mercier is Rosy, while Boris Karloff introduces the film and appears in the countryside tale of a family stalked by a vampiric creature that preys on those it once loved. The third story follows a nurse preparing a dead medium for burial who makes a small theft and soon finds the corpse refusing to stay at rest. The film moves from modern urban menace to old-world folklore and a revenge story from beyond the grave.
