The China Syndrome

DramaThriller122 min

While filming a routine segment at a nuclear power plant, a television reporter and her cameraman capture an incident that plant officials move quickly to downplay. What begins as a shaky on-air story turns into a deeper look at missing safety measures, sealed-off records, and the pressure to keep the public calm. As they push for answers, a plant insider becomes increasingly alarmed by what he sees inside the control room and by how far management will go to bury it. Jane Fonda and Michael Douglas are at the center of a story about corporate secrecy, media scrutiny, and the fear that a single failure could become a catastrophe.
