After 250 years on ice, former soldier and convicted prisoner Takeshi Kovacs wakes in a future where consciousness can be transferred between bodies. Joel Kinnaman is Kovacs, revived in an unfamiliar sleeve and offered one way out: solve the murder of a wealthy man and earn his freedom. The case drags him through a cyberpunk world of extreme class divides, virtual reality, police pressure, and bodies treated like replaceable property. Alongside him, Martha Higareda’s Detective Ortega keeps pushing at the same mystery from the other side of the law.
