Anne with an E

DramaFamily45 min per episode

After an abusive childhood in orphanages and strangers’ homes, 13-year-old Anne Shirley is mistakenly sent to live with the Cuthbert siblings in a small late-1890s town. Amybeth McNulty is Anne, a talkative, fiercely intelligent girl whose imagination keeps outrunning the limits other people set for her. Geraldine James’s Marilla expects order and practicality, while her quiet brother Matthew offers a gentler welcome. As Anne tries to make a home for herself, the series follows her place within the family and the wider community, where her outspokenness, curiosity, and refusal to shrink make her impossible to ignore.
