Police officer Stef Foster and school vice principal Lena Adams have built a crowded San Diego home with Stef’s son Brandon and adopted twins Mariana and Jesus, but the family shifts when they take in Callie, a guarded teen who has spent years in foster care, along with her younger brother Jude. Teri Polo and Sherri Saum are at the center of the Adams-Foster household, where school, work, co-parenting, and the child welfare system keep colliding. As Callie and Jude settle in, old routines are disrupted and every relationship in the house has to adjust to the possibility that this temporary placement may become something more.
