High in the post-apocalyptic Rocky Mountains, survivors have found one hard rule for staying alive: the giant, insect-like creatures below can't live above 8,000 feet. Anthony Mackie is a father holding onto that narrow safety with a young boy when a medical crisis forces him to leave the high ground. Morena Baccarin and Maddie Hasson are part of the small group that goes with him, descending from their refuge into the zone where the creatures can hunt. The setup turns the Colorado mountains into both shelter and trap, with every step downhill closing the distance between the survivors and what’s waiting below.
