Jason Statham is Chev Chelios, a hitman who wakes up in Los Angeles to find his nearly indestructible heart gone, replaced by a battery-powered artificial one that needs constant jolts of electricity. With the clock always running, Chev tears across the city to track down the Chinese mobster who took it, turning street fights, foot chases, strip clubs, and shootouts into ways to stay alive a few minutes longer. Amy Smart returns alongside Statham, and Clifton Collins Jr. joins the mayhem in a sequel that treats its criminal underworld like a live wire, full of grotesque detours, public spectacle, and comic-book logic.
