The Nanny
ComedyFamily23 min per episode
Dumped by her boyfriend and suddenly out of work, Fran Fine lands a nanny job in the Manhattan home of Broadway producer Maxwell Sheffield, where her Queens style crashes into his polished routine. Fran Drescher is Fran, all bright outfits, blunt opinions, and fast-talking warmth as she takes charge of Maxwell’s three children. Charles Shaughnessy’s Mr. Sheffield brings the upper-crust reserve, while Daniel Davis gives the household a dry pulse as butler Niles. The comedy turns on class contrasts, family chaos, and Fran’s habit of making herself impossible to ignore.
