A recently separated Manhattan couple is close to divorce when a night out turns into a disaster: they witness the murder of one of Meryl’s clients. Suddenly Paul and Meryl are pulled out of their polished New York lives, handed new identities, and sent into witness protection in a small town in Wyoming. Far from the city, their marital stalemate gets harder to ignore as they try to keep a low profile, adjust to ranch country, and stay out of a killer’s reach. Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker play the pair as old resentments, forced proximity, and the threat following them west keep pushing their breakup in the opposite direction.
