In the kingdom of Camelot, magic is outlawed, and a young warlock arrives just as his gifts begin to draw dangerous attention. Merlin is sent to serve the reckless Prince Arthur, a job that leaves him close to the future king he is fated to protect and constantly hiding the very powers that could save him. As court schemes, monsters, and sorcery keep threatening the realm, Merlin has to work in secret, steering Arthur away from disaster without revealing who he is. Colin Morgan and Bradley James lead a version of the Arthurian legend that centers on their uneasy friendship before either man becomes the figure history remembers.
