Treasure Planet

ActionAdventureAnimationFamilyFantasySci-Fi95 min

When restless teenager Jim Hawkins comes into possession of a map to the legendary “loot of a thousand worlds,” he signs onto a solar-sailing space galleon bound for Treasure Planet. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jim, with Brian Murray’s cyborg cook John Silver taking the boy under his wing as the voyage turns into a race through supernovas, space storms, and a brewing mutiny. The story recasts Treasure Island in a retro-futurist world of hoverboards, robots, and pirate ships built for deep space, with Captain Amelia and the ship’s eccentric crew pushing Jim toward the treasure at the end of the map.
