The Gutter
Comedy92 min
Shameik Moore is Walt, a shirt-averse oddball who lands a job at the bowling alley AlleyCatz and discovers he may be a once-in-a-generation talent on the lanes. An unlikely friendship with a former Pro Bowler pushes him toward a sudden shot at the pro circuit, where his rise brings backlash from people eager to undercut him. Racism, alcoholism and a dangerous rival in Linda “The Crusher” Curson complicate the climb as the alley becomes the center of Walt’s new life. D’Arcy Carden and Susan Sarandon are among the faces circling his abrupt move from employee to bowling phenomenon.
