Beasts of No Nation

DramaWar137 min

When civil war tears through a West African country, young Agu is separated from his family and pushed into a band of fighters, where survival means following orders he barely understands. Abraham Attah is Agu, moving from frightened child to recruit under the eye of a commander embodied by Idris Elba. As the unit moves through villages and jungle, the film stays close to Agu’s point of view: the shock of violence, the pressure to belong, and the way war strips childhood down to obedience, fear, and confusion.
