Ingrid Goes West

ComedyDrama98 min

After fixating on an Instagram tastemaker she’s never met, Ingrid Thorburn drops everything and heads to Los Angeles to maneuver her way into the woman’s orbit. Aubrey Plaza is Ingrid, a lonely young woman whose need for connection keeps curdling into imitation and surveillance, while Elizabeth Olsen’s Taylor Sloane lives inside a polished feed of brunches, desert trips, and effortless cool. As Ingrid remakes herself to match Taylor’s world, the friendship she’s chasing grows harder to control, turning social-media aspiration into something invasive and volatile.
