The Half of It
ComedyDramaRomance104 min
Smart, cash-strapped high schooler Ellie Chu makes extra money writing papers and letters for classmates in her small town. When sweet but awkward jock Paul asks for help winning over the most popular girl in school, Ellie agrees to be his unseen voice. Leah Lewis is Ellie, guarded and sharp, while Daniel Diemer’s Paul brings a sincere, fumbling energy to the arrangement. Their letter-writing scheme slowly turns into an unexpected friendship, then gets more complicated when Ellie realizes she has feelings for the same girl Paul is trying to reach.
