Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran
ActionAdventureDrama129 min
In 1998, a tightly guarded mission heads to Pokhran as India prepares its second confidential nuclear test series under Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure as prime minister. John Abraham leads the ensemble as a key member of the team working behind layers of secrecy, with Diana Penty and Boman Irani among the figures pulled into the operation. Built around the planning, setbacks, and coordination behind the tests, the film follows the military and government effort to carry out a national project far from public view.
