Years and Years

DramaSci-Fi58 min per episode

Across the years from 2019 to 2034, the Lyons family tries to keep hold of ordinary life as Britain and the wider world grow more unstable. Elections, financial shocks, new technology, refugees, and daily headlines stop feeling distant and start reshaping where they live, how they work, and what they fear for their children. At the same time, outspoken celebrity-turned-politician Vivienne Rook rises by turning outrage into power, deepening the country’s divides. As each jump forward brings another disruption, private family milestones collide with public crisis. Emma Thompson appears as Rook, while Russell Tovey is part of the sprawling family at the center of a near-future that keeps getting harder to dismiss.
