Presumed Innocent
CrimeMysteryThriller127 min
Deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich is assigned to investigate the murder of a colleague he was secretly involved with, only to find himself accused of the crime. Harrison Ford is Rusty, trying to defend his name inside the same courthouse where his affair with Carolyn (Greta Scacchi) is being picked apart in public. Around him, Brian Dennehy’s district attorney and Bonnie Bedelia’s Barbara turn the case into something larger than a single killing: office politics, marital fallout, buried evidence, and a prosecution built from Rusty’s own private life. Alan J. Pakula keeps the pressure inside the legal system Rusty thought he understood.
