Fran: The Man
Comedy89 min
When non-league St Peter's Celtic draw Shamrock Rovers in the first round of the FAI Cup, Darragh Humphreys is assistant manager Fran Costello, a man suddenly chasing one of football’s biggest possible upsets while his club starts to wobble around him. Framed as a mockumentary, the film follows Fran through sideline politics, mounting expectations, and the chaos that comes when a small team lands in a very public spotlight. Ardal O’Hanlon and Amy Huberman are part of the club’s increasingly crowded orbit as cup fever builds and Fran’s hopes of making history run into a mess of problems off the pitch.
