Even the Rain

Drama104 min

In Cochabamba, Bolivia, a Spanish film crew arrives to make a revisionist drama about Christopher Columbus just as local protests erupt over the privatization of the water supply. Gael García Bernal is Sebastián, the director pushing ahead with the production, while Luis Tosar's Costa tries to keep the project on track as the city grows more volatile. Among the locals drawn into the film is a performer played by Juan Carlos Aduviri, whose life outside the set brings the production's colonial subject into direct contact with the conflict unfolding in the streets.
