The Closer

CrimeDramaMystery46 min per episode

Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson arrives from Atlanta to lead an LAPD unit assigned to sensitive, high-profile murder cases, and her first obstacle is often the room she walks into. Kyra Sedgwick is Brenda, a renowned interrogator whose Southern manners, quirky personality, and hard-edged tactics put detectives and brass on edge even as she keeps pulling confessions from suspects. With J.K. Simmons and Corey Reynolds among the team around her, the series follows murder investigations shaped as much by interview-room pressure and internal friction as by the evidence on the board.
