The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
ActionAdventureFantasySci-FiThriller110 min
With war looming in an alternate Victorian age, famed adventurer Allan Quatermain is recruited to assemble a team of literary legends and stop a mastermind pushing Europe toward global conflict. Sean Connery is Quatermain, heading a lineup that includes Peta Wilson's Mina Harker, an Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Captain Nemo with his formidable submarine. Drawing on characters from classic fiction, the film mixes monsters, gadgets, and steampunk machinery as the group races from one threat to the next, trying to catch an enemy who keeps staying a step ahead.
