My Dinner with Andre

ComedyDrama110 min

Wallace Shawn is Wally, meeting his old friend André Gregory for dinner at a Manhattan restaurant after years apart. Over the meal, André recounts his recent travels, theater work, and spiritual experiments, while Wally’s questions and silences bring out the gap between André’s searching worldview and his own practical one. Louis Malle keeps the camera close to their faces and the table between them, letting a single conversation about art, money, love, and daily routine become the whole story.
