The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

ComedyDrama55 min per episode

In late-1950s New York, Miriam “Midge” Maisel seems to have the life she planned: a husband, children, and a place in uptown Jewish society. When her marriage suddenly falls apart, she stumbles onto a downtown club stage and discovers she has a sharp, unfiltered gift for stand-up. What starts as an impulsive outburst turns into a second life, one that clashes with the rules of her family, her social world, and the male-dominated comedy scene. As Midge, played by Rachel Brosnahan, chases stage time and a voice of her own, she leans on the blunt, resourceful Susie, played by Alex Borstein, while trying to keep the rest of her life from coming apart.
