The Ides of March

DramaThriller101 min

Ryan Gosling is Stephen Meyers, a fast-rising press spokesman working the Ohio primary for George Clooney’s Governor Mike Morris, a presidential hopeful whose reform message has made him a contender. As endorsements shift, debate-season pressure builds, and rival operatives start fishing for leverage, Stephen finds himself pulled into the campaign’s back rooms, where loyalty and access can change by the hour. Philip Seymour Hoffman’s veteran campaign manager keeps the machine moving, while Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei enter the picture as Stephen’s private and professional lives begin to overlap in ways the race can’t afford.
