What's Up, Doc?

ComedyRomance94 min

An accidental mix-up involving four identical plaid overnight bags turns a hotel stay into a spiraling farce, as strangers keep grabbing the wrong case and colliding in increasingly chaotic ways. Barbra Streisand and Ryan O’Neal are at the center of the confusion, with Madeline Kahn and Kenneth Mars adding to the pileup as the swapped bags set off misunderstandings, trashed rooms, and a chase that spills far beyond the hotel. Directed by Peter Bogdanovich, the film leans into old-Hollywood screwball rhythms, building its comedy out of mistaken identity, fast-talking confrontations, and one complication landing on top of the next.
