George Clooney’s David and Julia Roberts’ Georgia are long-divorced parents who can barely stand to be in the same room, let alone on the same flight. But when their daughter Lily (Kaitlyn Dever) decides to marry quickly after falling for a local man in Bali, the exes form an uneasy alliance and head overseas to stop the wedding before she repeats what they see as their own mistake from 25 years earlier. Against a sun-soaked island backdrop, old grievances, practiced routines, and flashes of familiarity resurface as David and Georgia try to derail the ceremony without completely blowing up the family.
