After their junior high basketball coach dies, five old friends reunite for a Fourth of July weekend at the lake house where they once celebrated a championship in 1978. What starts as a funeral turns into a crowded family getaway, with wives, kids, old rivalries, and half-finished arguments all packed into one long summer weekend. The men fall back into childish contests and bad decisions even as adult life keeps intruding, from parenting disasters to marriage tensions and the awkward realization that time has changed them. Adam Sandler and Kevin James are part of an ensemble comedy built around old friends trying to pick up where they left off, and finding that nothing quite fits the same way anymore.
